The Metanoia Cycles

Rewriting Reality from the Inside Out

Are you stuck in addiction, shame, or emotional pain?

You’re not broken — you’re overwhelmed. We help you understand the patterns holding you back and guide you into a gentler, clearer way of living.

Do you feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected?

YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!!

For most of my life, I didn’t know who I was. My addiction began at nine years old, long before I ever formed a true identity. I asked more than two dozen therapists to help me work on my inner self, and every one of them said no—telling me to stop “controlling my therapy” and simply follow their tools. I mastered those tools. I taught them. I helped others with them. But inside, I still hated myself. Nothing changed until one therapist finally said, “Yes—let’s work from the inside out.” Through the DEBT Method—examining my Desires, Expectations, Beliefs, and Thoughts—I stopped focusing on the events that broke me and started understanding the inner patterns that shaped me. I began rewriting old stories, healing the memories that still ruled my life, and building a real identity rooted in truth, values, purpose, and self-worth. DEBT helped me discover who I am, who I want to become, and the life I’m meant to create—and it can do the same for you. Gary W. Hoskins, Lehi, UT

Find clarity, compassion, and a path forward

Begin turning from fear toward love

Start healing from the inside out

What Metanoia Means

Metanoia is the sacred turning of the soul back toward its true self — the moment when you stop living from fear, shame, or survival and begin living from love, clarity, and divine alignment again.

What DEBT Means

DEBT—Desires, Expectations, Beliefs, Thoughts—shapes every choice. Formed in fear, it can turn inward into isolation and self-protection. Through awareness and metanoia, DEBT can be rewritten, transforming self-destructive cycles into aligned, purposeful, self-productive living.

About This Approach

Our work is rooted in the Metanoia Cycles — a gentle way of understanding why we get stuck in painful patterns and how awareness begins the turning back toward peace. Through the DEBT Method (Desires, Expectations, Beliefs, Thoughts), you learn to shift your inner world so real change becomes possible.

As stated by world religious leader President Ezra Taft Benson:

“The Lord works from the inside out; the world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. … The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature.”

Founder’s Note

President Ezra Taft Benson taught that real change begins on the inside — that the Lord transforms the heart long before behavior follows. That truth has shaped my own journey and the work you see here.

Liahona Pathfinders was created to help you understand what’s happening within you — the fears, patterns, and quiet longings that shape your choices. The Metanoia Cycles and the DEBT Method offer a simple, compassionate way to see those inner movements and begin the turning back toward peace, purpose, and connection with God.

You don’t have to be perfect to start.
You only need a little willingness and a safe place to begin.
